JIBB Case Study

What is JIBB?
JIBB is a visual collaboration SaaS platform that transforms physical whiteboard content into live, shareable digital sessions — using any camera input.
Originally founded to help educators and presenters bridge physical and digital spaces, JIBB has evolved into a deeply integrated tool for hybrid enterprise teams.

How I fit into JIBB
In 2019 I kicked off JIBB’s Product UX journey by developing its very first Webapp and mobile app wireframes, and have since owned the UX from foundational flows to deeply integrated enterprise systems — used by knowledge workers and hybrid teams around the world.
Working closely with every stakeholder across the business from day 1, I’ve led the UX/UI strategy, design systems, and end-to-end delivery for hundreds of iterative enhancements of JIBB's product and its evolution of features across web, mobile and hardware integrations, several website iterations as our GTM strategy has evolved, designed all marketing assets, onboarding flows, and user documentation, and even stepped into customer-facing roles to lead demos and onboarding as needed.
2019
I joined JIBB just before the pandemic
In late 2019, JIBB's product could have been considered a niche tool, built for online tutors and whiteboarding enthusiasts, but little did we know how much the world was about to change overnight, leading to the almost universal adoption of the work from home model, creating an urgent need for easy, online visual collaboration. Joining JIBB at this point in their development felt like a case of being at the right place at the right time.
2020-2021
Mid-Pandemic & Cisco Partnership
Once the world started to accept that everyone would be working from home a lot longer than 2 weeks, it started to reshape every enterprise's approach to online collaboration, especially visual collaboration around a whiteboard. This is when JIBB formed their partnership with Cisco, initially giving me the chance to design a Webex integration to easily share whiteboard content in online meetings, and eventually lead to designing an app integration for Cisco's Room Series cameras, to provide a more user friendly experience for people returning to the office.
2022-2023
The Era of Hybrid Work
While everyone was starting to get used to the WFH routine, enterprises were eager to get people back in the office, meaning it was even more common to have distributed and remote teams working together, and the hybrid work model became the norm. This not only solidified the need for JIBB's product at large organizations, but helped shape the product roadmap to address the needs of both in-office and remote workers, with our introduction of Auto-Save, 2-way JIBB sessions and digital annotation annotation features.
2024-Now
Adding the Missing Piece - GenAI
As generative AI continues to reshape the way we work, our latest focus at JIBB has been on integrating GenAI to extend the value of whiteboard sessions beyond capture and sharing. I’m currently leading the design of JIBB’s new AI Assistant called Comak — a new product that transforms JIBB session content, or photos of hand drawn content on whiteboard or paper, into editable, structured documents, helping users move seamlessly from idea to outcome.
By embedding GenAI into the user flow, we aim to automate content summarization, formatting, and distribution across connected tools, closing the loop on collaboration.
This marks the next evolution of JIBB’s platform — and is the most exciting development we’re preparing to launch soon.
The Kind of Work I Delivered at JIBB
Over the course of my time at JIBB, I’ve developed deep expertise across several core UX disciplines — from strategic thinking and systems design to integration workflows and enterprise-level user management, as well as many other aspects of wider design and marketing practices.
Learn more about the key areas where I’ve led, delivered, and iterated the most at JIBB.
From the very beginning, I helped shape the vision of JIBB’s platform — translating abstract ideas into structured opportunities through journey mapping, user personas, and future-state concepts.
I worked closely with leadership to align design efforts with product strategy, regularly proposing feature ideas and guiding the evolution of our user experience roadmap, including emerging concepts like async collaboration and AI integration.
I’ve delivered over 100 UX and UI solutions across the JIBB ecosystem — from initial MVP wireframes to polished multi-device experiences. I created and maintained our design language, ensuring consistency through reusable components, scalable layouts, and clear interaction patterns.
My work has touched every part of the app: from surface selection tools and dashboards to onboarding flows and responsive mobile interfaces.
As JIBB expanded into new markets and use cases, I led the UX design for a wide range of third-party integrations — especially Webex and Cisco Room Series Devices. I mapped user workflows across tools and platforms, identifying pain points and opportunities to create seamless, intuitive experiences that connect JIBB to the apps our users already rely on.
These projects often required balancing UX best practices with technical constraints and complex enterprise requirements.
With JIBB’s growth into meeting the needs of large-scale organizations, I designed scalable experiences for managing user roles, licensing, and admin-level controls. This included CSV user import flows, role-based access management, SSO login support, and onboarding tailored for both team members and organizational admins.
My goal was always to reduce friction while preserving clarity and control in complex environments.
One of the most valuable parts of my role has been continuously learning from our users. I’ve designed and evolved multiple onboarding flows, introduced in-app tooltips and feedback prompts, refined error messaging, and improved session feedback mechanisms — all informed by ongoing user research, interviews, testing and product telemetry.
My iterative approach ensured that JIBB’s experience remained usable, helpful, and aligned with real-world needs.
Beyond product interfaces, I led the design and evolution of JIBB’s visual identity — from early-stage branding to cohesive marketing assets and documentation. This included designing email templates, user guides, sales collateral, help center graphics, and public-facing content that reinforced JIBB’s tone and voice.
I ensured a consistent brand experience across touchpoints, aligning UI design with visual storytelling for external audiences.
In addition to my design work, I took on the end-to-end production of JIBB’s video content — including marketing promos, product explainers, onboarding tutorials, and user guides. With no dedicated budget or external resources, I filmed, directed, edited, and produced videos using what was available: iPhones, basic cameras, DIY lighting setups, and volunteer talent.
I focused on clarity, tone, and visual consistency, ensuring each piece aligned with JIBB’s product experience and brand identity. These videos became essential tools for onboarding, marketing, and investor communications.
Throughout JIBB’s journey, I supported leadership and business development efforts by designing investor pitch decks, product vision documents, and partnership presentations.
I worked closely with founders to craft clear, compelling narratives — translating product functionality into market value, and complex features into accessible visuals. These materials helped secure support, partnerships, and engagement from key stakeholders.

My Design Tech Stack
Throughout my time at JIBB, these are the main tools I used frequently throughout every stage of the design, research, analysis, communication and documentation process.

Designing for JIBB has been more than just a job — it’s been an incredibly immersive and formative experience. I’ve worn many hats, navigated shifting goals, and helped shape a product from the ground up, all while constantly adapting to the challenges of scaling, integrating, and evolving a complex platform.
Throughout this journey, I’ve grown into a more strategic, resilient, and systems-oriented designer. I’ve learned how to move between high-level product thinking and detailed interaction design. I’ve learned to work with tight constraints — from limited resources to complex enterprise use cases — and still deliver thoughtful, scalable solutions. I’ve led design in environments where no two days were the same, where the roadmap was always shifting, and where creative problem-solving was just part of the culture.
What I’m most proud of is not just what I designed, but how I helped shape a product that reflects real user needs — building trust, reducing friction, and improving the way people communicate and collaborate. And I did it all while growing as a designer, teammate, and creative problem-solver.
As I look toward new opportunities, I’m excited to bring the same level of ownership, curiosity, and design leadership to the next challenge — continuing to learn, develop and craft thoughtful, useful, and human-centered experiences.
